Spring is a time of renewal. The weather starts warming as the dreariness of winter ebbs away, giving us all a surge of energy and vitality as we look forward to longer days and more time spent outdoors.
And what better way to spend that energy than with reading?
Here are seven new and notable books coming in March 2026.

Almost Life
In the summer of 1978, two women met on the steps of the Sacré-Coeur in Paris. Their connection is instantaneous, leading to more than just a summer fling.
It’s a relationship that seeps into every decision the two women make moving forward. Through marriages, careers, and children, their desire for each other never wanes.
Yet, when they are finally brought back together, they are forced to face the question neither one has been willing to look at: are they brave enough to choose love in all its stunning complexity?

Sisters in Yellow
In Kimiko, Hana finds the role model her own mother could never be. Kimiko might be older, but she’s much cooler, savvier, and approachable.
So when the two decide to open a bar called Lemon with two other women, it’s less about the business and more about taking care of each other.
As they face predatory lenders, organized criminals, and plain bad luck, each woman is determined to remake their life. Everyone wants a second chance. The only question is who will get it.

Whidbey
Whidbey Island promises Birdie Chang a fresh start. At least, that’s what she believed when she randomly chose it. She wants to escape her life, run away from the headlines, and hide from an abusive man from her past who has recently resurfaced.
Only, instead, she finds a memoir from another woman detailing the abuse Birdie also endured. And when the man responsible for both ends up dead, both women know they need to find answers.
There’s a fine line between justice and vengeance. To reclaim their power, they’ll have to define which one they’re after.

The Complex
It isn’t easy living in the shadow of a legacy. After helping to shape India’s politics, S.P. Chopra’s sons and daughters struggle to define their futures.
One tries to escape to America, despite family pressure continually pulling them back. Another desperately wants to keep the peace in their fractured family, even though she has been exiled.
But life in India in the 1970s is volatile. And as violence erupts across the country, the Chopra family has to face long-buried secrets that force tradition, power, and loyalty into question.

Now I Surrender
A woman flees into the desert between the contested border of Mexico and the United States after forces raid her dead husband’s ranch.
Working for the new Republica, a lieutenant colonel chases cattle thieves only to find a crime far more dramatic at play. Decades later, Mexico and the US work together to try to force the legendary Apache warrior Geronimo to surrender.
These events are linked as one modern family travels through these areas in an attempt to understand the truth of their past.

A Far-flung Life
How can you move on when mistakes can’t be made right? That’s the question the MacBride family has to contend with when one moment of inattention on a lonely outback road in 1958 shatters their lives.
But instead of being allowed to heal, they face consequences. In the end, one of them will be forced to sacrifice their life to save one innocent child.

Down Time
Aaron wouldn’t just fall apart without Cassandra; he’d likely be dead. She’s been there for him through it all. Only, she might have finally had enough.
But when one of their close friends suddenly dies, and a global pandemic hits, the couple, along with several of their friends, are forced to finally face the lives they’ve built.
For better or worse, all of them will look at their desires and disappointments, pathologies and successes, and decide how they’ll each move forward—if the world doesn’t end, that is.
