Here are eight new and notable fiction books coming out in November 2026.

No one will help her. Doctors refuse to admit anything is wrong. So, Mary comes to three conclusions. 1) She has to leave her house. 2) She has to leave her husband. 3) She has to start taking psilocybin.

If no one will help her, Mary is determined to help herself. Things may not get better, but at least they’ll be different. And for Mary, that’s a change she’s willing to risk everything to get.

Madeline McKnight Signs Off

Madeline McKnight Signs Off

By Evan Brooke

Madeline McKnight was once a Wall Street power player. Charts, graphs, and formulas run her life. Only now, instead of stocks, she ranks her rivals, tracks her net worth, and predicts when the metastasized cancer will finally kill her.

The one thing she never saw coming was Bri Davis. Bri is Madeline’s estranged best friend’s daughter. A nursing student fresh off a breakup and drowning in debt, she agrees to take care of Madeline in her final days.

Bri expected an ailing patient, not the force of nature that Madeline still is. But when she discovers Madeline has one final scheme to ensure she doesn’t go away quietly, Bri has to decide how far she’ll go for an obscene paycheck.

All Madeline wants is to trade some of her accrued bad will for a little goodwill in her final days. Is that asking too much?

Family Language

Family Language

By Nicole Nelson

So why does everyone, Mona included, expect that she’ll take the lead in caring for the child? But as she negotiates temporary leave, her dreams of tenure start to slip away. Mona has worked hard for her career.

Now, she has to ask herself what’s more important: the career she earned or the child she never asked for.

Every Goodbye Ain't Gone

Every Goodbye Ain't Gone

By Dana Renee Green

Thirty-nine-year-old Renie has always met everyone else’s expectations. She’s a devoted wife and mother of seven. In Renie’s house, everyone else comes first.

But when she’s diagnosed with stage four breast cancer weeks after giving birth to her youngest, she’s forced to face the ugly truth that she may not live to see her children grow.

But as she starts a journal to leave pieces of herself for her kids when they’re older, she sees herself for the first time. She sees the dreams she set aside.

The needs she never voiced. The woman she never allowed herself to be. And discovering those buried parts of herself brings an urgent desire to finally live on her own terms.

Nanny Nanny

Nanny Nanny

By K Chiucarello

After surviving a violent, intoxicating, and abusive relationship, our unnamed narrator decides that she wants to stop taking care of other people’s kids and finally have one of her own.

Surviving domestic abuse left a void in her life, one that she thinks can only be filled with a baby. But as she goes over all the reasons why she thinks this is a good idea to friends over drinks, she opens the door to her past.

As she revisits her seemingly idyllic childhood, the women who mentored and judged her, and the man who was her first love, the only thing she keeps coming back to is how, now, in this moment, her calling must be to become a mother.

Universe of Grace

Universe of Grace

By Rachel Calnek-Sugin

Grace Goldberg-Li is an alien. It’s the only thing that makes sense to her. Her sister doesn’t experience life as brightly and painfully as she does. She has the urge to steal every beautiful object she encounters.

A voice warns her of the apocalypse in her head. And there was that time when she was six that a jaguar in the Bronx Zoo told her she wasn’t human. But even as an adult, Grace can’t figure out her life.

Grace falls in love with a doctoral student, lives in a backyard tree during the pandemic, and is the best employee Wendy’s has ever seen.

As she continuously tries to remake herself in the wild hope she’ll find her place, she keeps coming back to wondering if the world is crazy and that’s why she can’t find her place. Or is it just her?

Tiger's Mouth

By Lucy Tan

When Jack Owens, the depressed son of the billionaire founder, is his officemate, he suddenly sees the life he wants. Initially, the two get along. Until the pressures close in. By the end of the summer, they’re each other’s biggest competition, and the two men remain rivals over the years.

But when Chen stumbles on a flaw in the logic of K.O.’s new app, he’s forced to face the man he’s become, where he came from, and what happened to the friend he left behind.
