The Iconic and Nostalgic Bestselling Children's Series to Revisit Now

Choose Your Own Adventure interactive game books are one-of-a-kind.

Choose Your Own Adventure gamebooks first hit shelves in 1979 and became an overnight sensation after the company donated copies to libraries across the country, creating a wave of word-of-mouth popularity. That initiative paid off: between 1979 and 1999, the series sold over 250 million copies worldwide and was translated into 38 languages.

What makes the books so unique is their second-person narration. Readers step into the protagonist's shoes, making high-stakes, thrilling choices and facing obstacles along the way, ultimately determining the plot themselves. The series spans ages 5-8 for junior readers and 8-12 for older kids, and covers every literary genre imaginable.

The relaunch features hundreds of new titles, along with a retro collection for anyone who fell in love with the series back in the 80s. Today, the brand is owned and operated by Chooseco, a publishing house founded in 2003 by original series creator R.A. Montgomery and his wife, author Shannon Gilligan.

Since relaunching, Chooseco has sold over 16 million copies and continues to grow exponentially, thanks to its proven effectiveness in helping kids learn to read, and its knack for hooking even the most reluctant readers through pure interactivity.

And now the series is finally available in interactive ebook format. These Choose Your Own Adventure books offer hours of fun for all ages.
