The first trailer for the television adaptation of You has finally dropped—and it promises to be just as creepy as its namesake psychological thriller. A story of toxic love, obsession, and the dangers of social media oversharing, the series is set to air on Lifetime this fall with Elizabeth Lail (Blacklist) and Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl) starring as the lead couple. The supporting cast includes John Stamos and Pretty Little Liars' Shay Mitchell.

The trailer shows Joe (Badgley), a charming bookkeeper, rescue Beck (Lail) from a near-death on the subway tracks. The pair strike up a romantic relationship soon afterwards, with Beck convinced she's finally found her dream man. But secretly, Joe has been orchestrating their entire relationship, using social media to stalk Beck's movements and understand her every desire. As Beck gets clued in to Joe's psychotic behavior, she begins to wonder if murder is among the many "things he'll do for love"...
