Gladys Mitchell
Gladys Mitchell was an English writer best known for her creation of Mrs. Bradley, the heroine of sixty-six detective novels. She also wrote ten children’s books as well as historical fiction under the pseudonym Stephen Hockaby, and other works of detective fiction under the name Malcolm Torrie. She was the recipient of the Crime Writers’ Association Silver Dagger Award in 1976.
