What is Prime Day?

Amazon's Prime day has grown from a giant one-day sale on everything from tech, home goods and more to an even bigger two-day sale event. Just about every category on Amazon will be offering deals on certain products.

While some products will be discounted for the entirety of the sale, Amazon Prime Day is known for its Lightning Deals. Lightning deals are revealed throughout the day, with limited quantities of each product being available for consumers. If you snag one of these deals, you have a limited amount of time (usually 10 minutes) to place your order before you lose your claim and the deal goes to the next person on the wait list.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2020?

Amazon Prime Day 2020 begins Tuesday, October 13 at 12am PDT and concludes at 11:59PM PDT on Wednesday, October 14. Mark your calendars!

What to Expect for Amazon Prime Day 2020

Usually, Amazon Prime Day occurs in mid-July. This year, the giant sale was delayed due to COVID-19, pushing it back to October 13.

Aside from a new date, however, Prime Day will be very similar to previous years. We expect tons of great deals on appliances, electronics, clothing, and more. Last year's Prime Day sale included some especially good deals for book lovers, including:
